Margaret P. Lind, 87, passed away at her home Thursday, May 23, 2013.
She was born in Loman, Minn., on Jan. 17, 1926, to James and Marna Christie.
Margaret married Chet Lind and they moved to Montana in 1956.
They made their home in Billings where Margaret worked and raised their children.
Margaret is survived by her son, Bill (Debbie) Lind; daughters, Kathie (Greg) Todd and Chrystee (Dave) Ballan, all of Billings; stepdaughter, Judi (Bill) Kieper and family in Minnesota, who will miss Mom; three grandsons, Tyler (Molly Rose) Harding, Andy Ballan and Tony Ballan, who will miss their Gramma; great-grandchildren, Logan, Justin and Sophia Harding, Elizabeth Thomas, Samantha and Rebekkah Ballan, Daniel, and Shane and Morgan Ballan; along with step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved.
She is also survived by her sister, Millie Ballan of International Falls, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chet; brother, Rollie Christie; sister, JoAnn Kininger; and grandson, Justin Kline.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2939 Colton Blvd.
Memorials may be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, whose care and compassion was greatly appreciated by the family.
