Margaret (Peggie) Allard Koenreich, 88, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 20, 2012, with her son, John, by her side.
The only child of Robert Allard and Margaret Brown Allard, Peggie attended Steubenville High School in Ohio and graduated from Duke University with a degree in English.
Peggie married John Leonard Koenreich of Canton, Ohio, in Beirut, Lebanon, on Nov. 27, 1954.
Living in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia for the next 40 years, they raised their children, John and Katherine, while working for Tapline and Aramco. Retiring in 1987, Peggie and John enjoyed time in Spain, Minnesota and Texas.
Margaret is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and his wife Karen who reside in Buda, Texas; her daughter, Katherine Bole, and her granddaughters, Katie, Molly and Emma, currently reside in Atlantic Beach, Fla.
A memorial service was conducted at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 3525 Bee Cave Road, Austin, TX 78746.
