The PALS group got a chance in July to experience Rainy Lake with a vintage boat to Thunderbird Lodge for burgers. Jim Hanson, owner of the "Virginia," and his deck hands Paul Cocanuer and Laura Ehlinger offered the boat ride possible and MaryJane Haanen, owner of the Thunderbird Lodge, made lunch possible. PALS, which stands for People-Able-Learning-Social group, is directed by JoAnn Bokovoy.
