Richard Arthur Forrest, 75, of International Falls, Minn., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at his home.
Richard was born Oct. 14, 1938, in Jamestown, N.D.
He grew up in Jamestown, spent time in Virginia and Duluth, Minn., and Superior, Wis., before moving to International Falls in 1971 where he had lived since.
Richard married Audrey Pearson in Superior in 1964.
He worked at Genuine Auto Parts, Rex Hotel, Border Bar, Flame Night Club and Scotty’s Night Club.
He also worked as a school bus driver, a home builder and tour bus driver.
He worked for Tastee Bread and Land ‘O Lakes and eventually retired from Land ‘O Lakes.
Richard was a long-time member of the Moose Club, and an avid Cribbage player.
He loved fishing, and sharing that passion with his grandsons whom he loved and was very proud of.
He also loved spending time with all of his families.
Richard was a member of First Lutheran Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Clovis Forrest.
Richard is survived by his wife, Audrey Forrest of International Falls; daughters, Melody (Bradley) Nicholson of International Falls, Crystal (Mark) Lewis of Loman, Minn., and Katie (Jeff Stolzman) Wilken of South Range, Wis.; grandchildren, Thomas Nicholson, Jake Wilken and Nathan Lewis; sister, Linda (Ted) Nilles of West Fargo, N.D.; and son-in-law, Paul Wilken of Poplar, Wis.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at First Lutheran Church.
