Stanley Long

Stanley Robert Long Sr., 67, of Ray, Minn., died Tuesday morning, Jan. 15, 2013, at his home.

Stanley was born Feb. 24, 1945, in Langdon, N.D.

He married Beverly Zahn on Oct. 10, 1998, in Ray, Minn.

He enjoyed bowling, hunting, four-wheeling, and spending time at the shack.

Stan also enjoyed spending time at his brother-in-law’s home at Lake Kabetogama.

He loved family functions, loved to dance, and loved country music.

He was a member of the Moose Club and Local Union 589.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Rachel Long; brothers, William and Dennis, and infant brother Teddy.

Stan is survived by his wife, Beverly of Ray, Minn.; daughter, Roberta (Mike) Revak and son, Stan II (Heather) of International Falls; grandson, Brock Robert Nelson Long of Bemidji, Minn.; brothers, Albert (Judy) of International Falls, Hugh (Myrna) of Mountain Lake, Minn., Alfred (Mary Jo), Ronald (Val) and Kenneth (Deb), all of International Falls; sisters, Linda (Wally) Tilander, Cindy (Rod) Milender and Karen (Ralph) Ruelle, all of International Falls, and Ila (Jake) Zimmerly of Sterling, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews; and also survived by his loving girls, Sadi Su and Mika.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service Friday, Jan. 18, at Evangelical Covenant Church.
