Timber Talks

Indus first grade and kindergarten students explored natural resources in May with visits from local Boise representatives who presented “TimberTalks” to their classes. Students looked at samples of trees brought into the classroom, watched a movie on how a tree goes from a seedling to building a house, went outside to explore natural resources and conduct research, and made a bird feeder out of a pine cone, bird seed, and peanut butter.
Elementary students record research findings on clipboards.
