Virgil A. Christensen, age 94, of Forest Lake, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by daughters, Joan (Denis) Axen and Marsha (John) DuMez; three grandchildren, Phil (Cathy) Axen, Paula (Jeff) Rak and Kris DuMez; three great-grandchildren, Kellen (Emily) Axen, Cassi (Nate) Tiemann and Calvin Rak; one great great-granddaughter, Sophia; and sister, Dorothy Christensen.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, 1790 11th St. SE, Forest Lake.
