Icebox Days “Chili Challenge” at Backus Community Center is set for 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 19. Interested individuals, groups, organizations, restaurants and businesses may still register to participate. The public is welcome and asked to vote for their favorite chili. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children under 12 accompanied by paid adult. Toppings, cornbread and beverages are provided. Prizes will be awarded to winners. Call Backus at 285-7225 or visit the website, www.backusab.org for information and to register as a “chili chef.”
