The Women of the Moose will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the clubrooms. Plans will be made for a special potluck set for 1 p.m. Feb. 24.

Women's Business Network

International Women’s Business Network will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Coffee Landing Café. Guest speaker RaeAnne Conat will talk about how she started and is growing her business, Swanky Sweet Pea. VFW post, auxiliary

The regular meeting of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 and the Ladies Auxiliary will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Post Home, 1416 Third Ave./Highway 53. A light lunch will follow.

'Great Decisions' group

The community “Great Decisions” foregin policy discussion group will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at International Falls Public Library in the lower level meeting room. The group will discuss “State of the Oceans” with Bob and Leanne Crompton leading. Students and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend and actively listen and/or share views. Photo deadline

The deadline for submitting photos to the monthly International Falls Public Library “pictures and pens” photography contest is Monday. Prints of 8x10 size are needed, or email dadams@arrowhead.lib.mn.us with a high enough quality file that an 8x10 can be printed (generally larger than 1000 kb).

Homebuyer workshop

A Homebuyer Educational Workshop is planned for 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at KOOTASCA Community Action, 2232 Second Ave. E. Participants may learn about qualifying for a mortgage, credit issues/saving, shopping for a home/realtor services, professional inspections and closing. Sweetheart's Dinner

Koochiching County Senior Center, 307 Fourth St., will serve a Sweetheart's Dinner at noon Thursday. Music by Don Hughes and Bob will be presented from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Call 283-3460 for reservations by Wednesday.
