ECFE Christmas party
Indus Early Childhood Family Education families are welcome to a Christmas Party from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Indus School preschool room. Songs, crafts and snacks will be featured. Following the party the school will host the grades kindergarten through 12 Christmas program through the music department. RSVP by Dec. 10. Affordable
Care Act info
As the Affordable Care Act will soon have an impact on both employers and employees, an informational meeting is set for noon Dec. 13 at Lenard’s at AmericInn. A hot $9 lunch will be served. Certified Public Account Randy Pozniak and Dr. Kimberly Perkins of the Littlefork Medical Community will present the topic and information on compliance preparation. Soup supper
First Thursday Soup Supper is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Backus Community Center. The $6 per person charge includes soup, bread, crackers, dessert and beverage. Public is welcome. Soup is available “to go.” Value Pack tickets are on sale at the door. Call Backus at 285-7225 for information.
Luncheon, cookie walk
St. Paul Lutheran Church will host the 21st Annual Christmas Luncheon and Cookie Walk from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church located at 1324 Ninth St. Cost is $6. Elevator and to-go boxes will be available.
Holiday concerts
The following winter programs are planned for Friday at Falls High School. Third and fourth graders will perform at 10 a.m., first and second graders at 1 p.m. and kindergarten at 2:30. There is no charge.
Christmas concert
Borderland Community Orchestra will present their Christmas concert at 2 p.m. Sunday at Backus Community Center Auditorium. Directed by Katherine Williams, the orchestra features musicians from both sides of the border. Admission at the door is $ 10 for adults, $ 5 for students and children 5 and under free. The audience is requested to bring their music to sing along with the orchestra on “The Hallelujah Chorus” from Handel’s Messiah.
