FEMA allocation
The State Set Aside Committee FEMA Board has allocated $3,460 for Koochiching County emergency services. Agencies that provide emergency services are eligible to apply. Contact Nancy Anderson or Brittany Rognerud at 283-8020 before Friday for more information and/or to apply for a portion of the allocated funding.
Book sale
Friends of the Library book sale is set for 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at International Falls Public Library. All sales by donation with proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Library support of library programs.
Painting demo
A Northern Lights Painting Demo given by Kathie Fluke is planned for noon to 3 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Northland Art Society art room at Backus. The event coincides with the Ice Box Days chili cook off and turkey bowling.
Business of the Day
UnitedHealth Group will be featured as the “Business of the Day” at the WorkForce Center located on the Rainy River Community College campus in Room SC-128 from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday. A representative from UnitedHealth Group will be available to discuss current job opportunities and the application process.
