Recruiters from Hi-Tech Express Inc. will accept job applications for commercial truck driving positions Friday at the International Falls WorkForce Center.

The event is part of the center’s Business of the Day series, which takes place on an as-needed basis to allow employers to fill vacancies.

The Twin Cities-based company is expected to recruit from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Interested applicants can go to the workforce center on a walk-in basis during those hours to learn about the job openings, apply and have an on-the-spot interview.

The workforce center is located at Rainy River Community College, in room SC128. RRCC is at 1501 Highway 71 in International Falls.

The workforce center is operated by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

“It’s face-to-face contact right away with an employer,” said Sheila DeMenge, an International Falls workforce development representative for DEED. “It’s good anytime an employer makes a presence in the community and is willing to talk to applicants face-to-face.”
