The Good Samaritan Society Way “Good Samaritans” group, consisting of campus staff and residents from all service lines, selected the Falls Hunger Coalition as its community donation project of the month, donating a grand total of 1,283 pounds of food and an additional $607 that was collected between Nov. 1-30.

The GSS Way Good Samaritans will be identifying needs and selecting a community group to assist each month in an effort to pool resources and man power from all service lines to help others in need. A news release said the GSS Way members are divided into six teams that enjoy friendly competition while working together to put their creative and problem solving skills to the test.

Team Northwinds Assisted Living collected the most pounds of food this time around.

“When we work together, we can accomplish so much,” said Casey Ward, administrator. “The staff, residents, volunteers and family members came together to make a significant impact that we are all proud of.”
