The Koochiching Economic Development Authority Board is expected to take action to fill a vacant administrative assistant position when it meets Wednesday.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. in the Koochiching County Courthouse board room. An agenda is considered tentative until the government body begins the meeting and makes additions or deletions to the proposed agenda.
Lindsay Frank, former KEDA administrative assistant, vacated the position April 18. At the board’s April 27 meeting, a committee to interview four candidates for the part-time position was established. The committee is expected Wednesday to recommend someone for the position.
KEDA Director Paul Nevanen said that the position has been reduced from full time to part time to better help with the KEDA’s budget and to “attract different applicants.”
In other business Wednesday, the board is expected to hear an update on the ongoing process to add a new cold weather testing customer, who wants to construct a second cold box in the Falls.
The board offers an opportunity for public comment at the beginning of each regular meeting when the public may address the board.
