With almost 60 inches of snow so far, or more than twice of all of last year already, the normally under-the-radar snow removal business has been hopping. From state employees, to private contracts to industrious boys and girls with shovels, Monday’s 6-inch plus snowstorm kept people busy, as it’s a vital part of the local economy. It continued to do so as city workers took a break after working all night before possibly using a private contractor to take away this snow to a dump site after it was left in the middle of Fourth Street so it could still remain open, Mayor Bob Anderson said.
