Four Good Samaritan Society nurse’s aides have furthered their education in health care after becoming certified nursing assistants, funded by the Good Samaritan Society – International Falls.
Kyle Sjoblom, Brytanie Porter, Maria Leerssen and Abby Smith passed their CNA exams after a 10-week course offered by the location. Good Samaritan Society – International Falls MDS coordinator, Angela Noyes, instructed the course and the students were able to conduct their clinicals on site.
Through a partnership with Rainy River Community College, the society pays for the students to take their written and skill exams to become certified nursing assistants.
“I commend these students on their hard work and their dedication to a profession that is so important to long-term senior care and beyond,” Noyes said. “We love being able to offer this opportunity to develop their careers and further their education.”
The Good Samaritan Society has been serving International Falls since 1992, offering skilled nursing care, assisted living, senior living and home care.
