Rainy River Recovery officials last week announced the organization is expanding both in its physical appearance and services offered.
Rainy River Recovery is a local intensive outpatient program that has treated individuals with chemical dependency and/or substance use disorders for the last 11 years. It is now a licensed co-occurring treatment facility which provides outpatient treatment for both chemical dependency and mental health.
“We are excited to offer other mental health therapy options to our small community and continue to better serve our chemical dependency clients,” said a staff member in a news release.
Rainy River Recovery can now offer services such as diagnostic assessments, individual psychotherapy, family psychotherapy, couples and marriage counseling, alone or in addition to a client also receiving chemical dependency treatment.
In addition, the release said staff are vigorously pursuing an adolescent program to serve the young people in the community as well.
Rainy River Recovery continues to work with Independent School District No. 361, Koochiching County Court and Probation, Koochiching County Human Services, and Northland Counseling in these efforts and staff said they look forward to updating the community when these services will be offered locally.
Rainy River Recovery will continue to offer services of Rule 25’s/comprehensive assessments and DUI classes. In addition, Rainy River Recovery will continue to serve on the Borderland Substance Abuse Court teams in both Lake of the Woods and Koochiching counties.
