Snap Fitness, a 24 hour co-ed fitness club, is coming to International Falls.
Gabe and Barbara Arntson of East Grand Forks will open their third Snap Fitness club in the Falls on Oct. 17, at 615 3rd Ave. W.
Snap was created with the concept that people want a fast, convenient and affordable workout but don’t always want the contracts or the extra amenities of larger clubs.
Barb said the Falls allows them to combine business in their favorite vacation spot.
“We are excited about opening Snap Fitness in International Falls,” said Barbara. “We think a 24-hour club will be a great attribute to the community to help people get healthier.”
Both East Grand Forks natives, Gabe has a masters of business administration degree and Barbara is an exercise physiologist and registered dietitian. They have two young children and another baby on the way.
“We always wanted to start our own business,” she said. “The combination of our abilities has been quite complimentary. We are fitness oriented and we enjoy encouraging others to do so the same.”
The Falls Snap Fitness will create around five part-time jobs. The manager and assistant managers will be regular employees.
The Chanhassen-based chain has 1,000 locations in Canada, the U. S. and India.
