Samplicity Art Hovel officials announce a first-time event taking place around the International Falls and Littlefork communities. The “Art Hovel Hop” is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday around the respective communities.
The Art Hovel Hop is a “studio cruise” during which a number of local artists will open their studios to the public. The community has a chance to go from studio to studio, learning about and viewing art. Officials say this is a special opportunity for everyone to see works in-progress, the raw materials each artist uses, and what goes into each finished work of art.
Six locations will be participating in the Art Hovel Hop, and persons visiting all six will have a chance to win a prize. Fliers with details and locations can be picked up in Littlefork at Samplicity Art Hovel located at 816 McPherson St., and in International Falls at the Northland Art Society room at Backus Community Building, Room 114.
A release encourages members of the community to take advantage of exploring local art, visiting with friends and neighbors, and learning about the hidden art gems in the community.
