Members of Supernatural Investigators of Minnesota will discuss with area residents on Saturday stories about nearby places that a creature like Bigfoot “has been seen many times over the past several years.”

“The Bigfoot Conversation” will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Coffee Landing Cafe. Supernatural Investigators of Minnesota is hosting the event as part of their Bigfoot expedition.

The Minneapolis-based organization is making its second trip to the Falls to discuss Bigfoot, or Sasquatch. Last year, the group held a local event called “Meet the Investigators.”

“We’ve had a lot of people email about Bigfoot,” said Jerry Ayres, founder and lead investigator of the group. “We’re just out to try to find out if there’s evidence to support (the existence of Bigfoot).”

The event encourages local people to talk about what they have seen. Ayres said his group researches things like Bigfoot sightings, but has never seen one.

“I’m personally open-minded about it,” he said. “We’ve found evidence that there are ghosts, paranormal activities — whether they are UFOs or Bigfoot — things that people are skeptical of. If we did find it, I think some people would believe us.”

He said the location of the nearby Bigfoot-like sighting will not be made public, because there are bounties where people will pay $1 million for a dead Bigfoot and $2 million for a live one.

“People are interested in shooting them, and we do not want any of that to happen,” Ayres said, emphasizing that his group researches paranormal activities and is not out to hunt creatures.

The conversation will also be broadcast live on Para-X Radio. The guest speaker at the event is Bob Olson, Minnesota’s Sasquatch Researcher. 

Information about the event says, “Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is the name given to an ape-like creature that some people believe inhabits the northern forests of North America, with the most documented sightings in the Pacific Northwest. Sasquatch has been described as a very large, hairy, bipedal humanoid.”

The conversation and live radio show about Bigfoot invites participants to share Bigfoot stories.
