Birchdale supper
Birchdale Church will host a roast beef and pork supper with all the trimmings from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Birchdale Hall. Homemade pies, bread and a bake sale will be featured. Free will offering. The public is welcome to attend.
Soup supper
The First Thursday Soup Supper is planned for 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Backus Community Center. The $6 per person charge includes soup, bread, crackers, dessert and beverage. The public is welcome. Soup is available “to go.” Value Pack tickets are on sale at the door. Call Backus at 285-7225 for information.
Arts, crafts festival
Crafters, vendors and artisans are welcome to participate in the Backus Arts and Crafts Festival Nov. 24. The public is welcome to display and sell arts, crafts, edibles or collectibles. Call the Backus office, 285-7225, for information. Cost per space is $30 by Nov. 16 and $35/space after that date. Spaces filled on a first-come, first served basis. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be served 11 to 2.

International Games Day
Games at the International Falls Public Library are planned for 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. In observance of International Games Day, the library is ready with a wide variety of board games. Explore old classics or discover a new favorite. A mini chess tournament is in the works if enough interest is received. A pizza lunch will be provided for participants.
Craft fair
The annual Big Falls Craft Fair is planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at the Big Falls Community Building gymnasium. The Littlefork-Big Falls High School music department will serve a lunch featuring wild rice soup, salad and breadsticks.
BCEC gathering
BCEC will gather for a dinner meeting Thursday at the CIO Union Hall. Social hour begins at 5 p.m. with dinner at 6.
