Quilt guild
Whispering Pines Quilt Guild will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Family Life Center of Evangelical Covenant Church. Quilters are reminded to wear a nametag and bring a fat quarter of their color choice of fabric for the drawing. Show and Tell items are welcome. Quilters of any level of experience are welcome. A special presentation and trunk show, “Quilts and the Stories They Tell,” by Sharon Linders, will begin at 7. Area residents are welcome. Admission is $3 for non-guild members. Refreshments will be served.

Quilters presentation
Whispering Pines Quilt Guild will host Sharon Linders, a resident of Aitkin and Mesa, Ariz., at 7 p.m. Thursday at Evangelical Covenant Church in the Family Life Center, as she gives a presentation entitled “Quilts and the Stories They Tell.” Linders is a quilting teacher, pattern designer and quilt collector. A $3 admission charge applies to non-guild members. Refreshments will follow.
