Library hours
Saturday hours at the International Falls Public Library are back with the start of school. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
AARP chapter
The International Falls chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons will meet for the 2012-2013 season at 1 p.m. Sept. 12 at Koochiching County Senior Center, 307 Fourth St. President Tom Wagner will preside. Refreshments will be served. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.
Class of 1965 Girls
Falls High School Class of 1965 Girls will meet for lunch at noon Sept. 12 at Thunderbird Lodge.
Horse show
Rainy River Riders Saddle Club will host a game show beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting, at the arena located at Truck Route 332-Highway 53. Lunch will be on grounds. Spectators are welcome. Call 218-875-2852 for more information.
Recovery service
A recovery service for anyone in a 12-step program and their family or friends is planned for 5 p.m. Sunday at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Fourth Street at Ninth Avenue. Call Lynn at 286-5083 for more information.
Soup supper
The First Thursday Soup Supper is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Backus Community Center. The $6 per person cost includes soup, bread, crackers, dessert and beverage. Public is welcome. NSDAR chapter
