Teen gaming
Teen gaming at International Falls Public Library is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday for anyone in grades 7 and above. Refreshments will be provided. No registration necessary.
Great Decisions
The Great Decisions community group of citizen education and discussion programs about foreign policy issues will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the lower level meeting room at International Falls Public Library. The presentation on Mexico will be facilitated by Sue Nordquist. High school/college students and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend and actively listen and/or share views. Contact Nordquist at 283-8687 or Diane Adams at the library if a group of students or individuals plan to attend. Materials will be provided to all guests.
Education fair
High school students contemplating post-secondary education, technical training or military service after graduation are encouraged to attend the Rainy River Community College-hosted Minnesota Education Fair from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 17 in the RRCC gymnasium. Representatives from nearly 50 educational institutions and other organizations will be available. Students may register personal information and create a barcode to be scanned prior to the fair by going to collegefairs.com. High school counselors may offer more information. Parents are welcome. There is no admission charge.
Orthopedic clinic
The Shriners Hospitals for Children —Twin Cities will conduct a pediatric orthopedic evaluation clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Sanford Bemidji Orthopedic Clinic, 3807 Greenleaf Ave. NW, Bemidji. Walks-ins are welcome. Call Bob at 218-751-1399 for information.
VFW Ladies Auxiliary
The regular meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Post Home, 1416 Third Ave.-Highway 53. A light lunch will follow.
