International Falls ‘jailbirds’ raised $5,000 Thursday at a March of Dimes Jail & Bail event at International Falls Kmart.
The March of Dimes event brought dozens of Falls area residents to ‘jail,’ where they made bail via online fundraising and money pledged to jailbirds from friends, family and co-workers. Money raised at the International Falls Jail and Bail will provide much needed funding for the mission of the March of Dimes to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
Jailbirds who raised more than $500 include: Tim Anderson, Northern Reliable Insurance Agency Inc.; and Brenda Ruport, International Discount Liquor.
