The regular meeting of the Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2948 was called to order at 7 p.m. July 11 by president Pat DeLapp with 11 members present.
The opening ritual was held and roll call of officers conducted.
There were two petitions for membership: Kris Flesland, who is joining under his grandfather, Sollie Brown; and Gail Shipley, joining under her late husband, David Shipley. A voice vote was taken to accept both as new members.
The General Orders, correspondence and the May meeting minutes were read.
Treasurer Dawn Flesland presented her report. The group dispensed with the reading of the treasurers report as copies were distributed to members present. The report was filed, subject to audit.
The report on Americanism and Youth Activities was given by Irene Anderson.
Linda Chezick reported on Veterans and Family Support. The 2018 VFW calendars are available for sale.
The Auxiliary has a quilt for a raffle but need more information on printing tickets and guidelines for a raffle.
A donation was made for the Bryan McDonough Foundation Golf Classic set for Aug. 11 in Stillwater.
The 8th District meetings will take place Aug. 12-13. Members are encouraged to attend the Sunday meeting beginning with coffee and rolls at 8 a.m. at the Post.
Door prize was won by Harry Batdorf.
The meeting concluded at 8:15 with closing ceremonies.
The next meeting is planned for Aug. 8.
