Our local dementia caregivers met March 3 at Lenard’s at our usual time of 11:30 a.m. That is such a nice facility; plus the food is wonderful. We had a small group in attendance, but we really appreciate all who attend. This is such a tough disease to talk about plus it can go on for many years.
Leslee Loop was able to come and chat with us, and informed us the workshop for caregivers was not going to take place. This is tough to try to get caregivers to attend these events, and we have found this out with local meetings. We hope others would be able to come and see what we have to offer in the way of help and concern as this is such a hard job for anyone to go through.
At our next meeting, which will take place at 11:30 a.m. April 7 at Lenard’s, Norma Krats will show a movie entitled “The Forgetting.” This is an excellent movie and everyone able is encouraged to attend.
