A Sept. 6 fundraiser held by Holy Trinity Church at the Elk’s Lodge drew 200 people and raised $2,016 for the Servants of Shelter, according to Lee Grim, a deacon at the church.
“We feel that the community is absolutely wonderful,” said Grim of the effort to raise money to aid the homeless population in International Falls.
“The combination of the Elks Lodge and church and setting the venue, the community made it happen to help serve those people who are homeless in our community,” said Grim.
