Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary President Beverly Beck presided at the Sept. 1 meeting of the auxiliary conducted at the hospital. Beck led in the prayer for hospital auxiliaries.
Hospital liaison Kelly Franz presented a report on the progress of the remodeling of the hospital building. A new 3-D mammography unit has been installed; the only facility of its kind north of the Twin Cities. A health fair is being planned.
Helen Billig, gift shop manager, gave a report on the shop in its new location. New at the shop are stuffed animals, polar mitts, new purses and scarves.
The fall meeting of District B Hospital Auxiliaries will be Oct. 2 in Grand Rapids. Reservations must be in by Sept. 21.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Oct. 6 at the hospital.
