Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary met Sept. 6 at the hospital with secretary Carol Lagoo presiding in the absence of the president, Beverly Beck.
Hospital liaison Kelly Franz was present and reviewed the ongoing remodeling of the hospital. She also spoke of the plans for the community health fair set for Oct. 10 at the AmericInn.
Gift shop chairperson Helen Billig gave her report. She said new items have been added and more items that are on order should arrive soon.
Each year the auxiliary provides a scholarship for a high school student who is pursing a health-related career. This year’s recipient was Max Vergeldt.
Plans for the annual bake sale will be made at the October meeting.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Oct. 4 at the hospital.
