Rainy Lake Medical Center Auxiliary met Aug. 4 at the hospital with president Beverly Beck presiding. She led in the prayer for hospital auxiliaries.
Committee reports were given.
Helen Billig, gift shop chairperson, gave the gift shop treasury report and stated that the shop is pretty well settled in their new location. New at the shop are “pill purses” and goat milk soap. Winter items are on order.
A thank you letter was read from Sulamita Zastavskiy, this year’s auxiliary scholarship recipient. She plans to attend Rainy River Community College this fall.
Several fundraisers were discussed.
Bea Brown, volunteer director, will attend the state Health Care Auxiliary of Minnesota in September.
The next regularly scheduled meeting of the auxiliary will be Sept. 1 at the hospital.
