The Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary meeting was called to order by president Linda Chezick at 7 p.m. March 8 with five members present.

The charter was draped for life member Gerry Smith, who passed away March 5.

Pies were served at Littlefork Care Center March 10. Donations were made to the Food Shelf, Soil and Water Envirothon and Ways and Means cancer fund to the District.

Bingo is planned for March 17 at the Good Samaritan Society-International Falls. Volunteers are needed.

New member Julie Jaksa was accepted, under her father, Frank Lucachick.

Koochiching County Veterans Service Officer Candance Ritch attended the February meeting. She is organizing a May 7 parade to honor Vietnam vets and to celebrate 41 years since the end of war. Community volunteers are also needed.

The Auxiliary will host a breakfast for VietNam Day March 20. Veterans are welcome to attend, free of charge. Spouses and families are welcome. A goodwill offering would be appreciated. Volunteers are needed.

Election of officers will take place at an upcoming meeting and all members are urged to attend.

No trustees were present to sign bills. Protem secretary was Diane Kelly.
