The Harbingers Quartet, from Minneapolis, will present a concert at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Full Gospel Fellowship, 1530 Sixth Ave. W.

In the Harbingers Quartet, three out of the four began singing together in the late 1960s and early ‘70s while attending North Central University in Minneapolis.

While in college together, Dan Turner and Jim Krans and John Krans sang together on weekends. In the summer of 1971 they traveled for 12 weeks singing in churches and camps throughout the Midwest.

Now after nearly 40 years, the group has been reunited, as they all live in Minnesota again. They have also added the smooth, rich, deep bass voice of Dick Hall to round out the quartet and share their close harmony and unique musical arrangements with audiences around the country. Turner is the pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Aitkin, Hall has recently retired after many years in management of a major electrical utility company, Jim Krans has his own business in Minneapolis, and John Krans is the pastor of Crowne Pointe Church in Bloomington. Turner is the arranger, sings baritone and plays piano, Hall sings bass, Jim Krans is the tenor and plays guitar, and John Krans sings lead and plays bass.

The Harbinger Quartet sings quartet classics and worship music. Everyone is welcome to attend.
