C.S. Wood was guest of honor at a family dinner party Monday evening in celebration of his 82nd birthday anniversary. The event was at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.S. Mattson, South International Falls.
Robert Fritz Sr., retired sawmill superintendent who devoted 60 years of a busy life to the production of lumber, died this afternoon in Falls Memorial Hospital. He would have observed his 93rd birthday April 21.
Mrs. Dean Blumer, 906 10th St., was guest of honor at a stork shower at the home of Mrs. John Maruk, 504 10th St.
Mrs. P.H. Fogarty, 68, a resident of International Falls for more than 50 years, died today in Falls Memorial Hospital. The family home is at 317 1/2 Fourth Ave. Her father, John J. Stone, owned and operated the first hotel here.
