A girl was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Milander.

The Riggers of the Boise Cascade Employees Club Bowling League were the winners when the season closed last week. Team members are Clarence Cousineau, John Ruelle, Don Reuter, Reno Toninato, John Engelking and Fulvio Toninato.

An open house honoring Joe Timmer on his 86th birthday will be held Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Cross River Hall in Littlefork.

James R. Neff has been hired as the senior high school vocal teacher.

Lee Parkin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alec Parkin, was honored on his sixth birthday yesterday. Twelve little friends and relatives attended an afternoon party with an Easter bunny theme.

Warrant Officer Reed Christenson, senior training officer of the Falls squadron, Civil Air Patrol, has accepted the invitation of Minnesota Wing, CAP, to be the official escort for five Guatemalan cadets and two adults when they visit Minnesota this summer.

C.S. Wood was guest of honor at a family dinner party Monday evening in celebration of his 82nd birthday anniversary. The event was at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.S. Mattson, South International Falls.

Robert Fritz Sr., retired sawmill superintendent who devoted 60 years of a busy life to the production of lumber, died this afternoon in Falls Memorial Hospital. He would have observed his 93rd birthday April 21.

Mrs. Dean Blumer, 906 10th St., was guest of honor at a stork shower at the home of Mrs. John Maruk, 504 10th St.

Mrs. P.H. Fogarty, 68, a resident of International Falls for more than 50 years, died today in Falls Memorial Hospital. The family home is at 317 1/2 Fourth Ave. Her father, John J. Stone, owned and operated the first hotel here.

70 YEARS AGO

Linda Kay are the names chosen by Mr. and Mrs. John Briggs of this city for their daughter born today at the Laurion Maternity Home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Foyt of Holler are parents of a daughter born today at their home. They will name her Karen Ann.

Robert Gaines, Robert Johnson, James Thoe, Frank Urban and Frank Utter were registered as new members of Boy Scout Troop 146, sponsored by the Lutheran churches.

Joseph Baker celebrated his 81st birthday Wednesday when a group of friends gathered at his home on Riverside Drive.
