Former Bronco goalie Kevin Constantine was recently named head coach of the Rochester Mustangs, a franchise in the United States Hockey League.

Tami Steinbach has been selected to receive the Elizabeth J. Larimore and Sadie P. Mathews scholarship to attend the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for the 1987-88 academic year.

1972 AAA softball league champs from The Flame are Boxer Wagner, Delbert Bernard, Pat Cullen, Dave Rousseau, John Sirotiak, Tim Cullen, Bill Sutch, Larry Rehn, Bucky Bilben, Terry Cullen and Chris Balaski.

Edward Nelson, Boise plant guard, made a final entry in his log book last Friday, turned over his keys to his relief partner and began a well-earned retirement. 

George Veit and Glenn Iverson recently retired from Boise Cascade.

Football cheerleaders at Falls High are Ruth Perling, Katie Boeckers, Shelly Ruelle, Patty Navins and Bunny Sullivan.

The home of Mrs. Carl Roberson, 911 Second St., was the scene of a party honoring Mrs. Harvey Palmer. Mrs. Ira Gowan and Mrs. Vic  Linsten assisted Mrs. Roberson in serving a 1 o’clock luncheon. Mrs. Palmer and her husband will leave shortly to spend several months in Florida.

New members of XI Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi are Mrs. Charles Green, Mrs. Roger Lehman and Mrs. Thomas Hellings.

A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Bennard Anderson, Loman Route, weight, 7 pounds, 9 ounces. Name chosen, Bruce Ray.

Eugene Earl Sabotta, son of Vincent Sabotta, 607 Fifth St., graduated cum laude from University of Minnesota, Duluth branch, last week. He received his degree in absentia as he is presently attending an army reserve unit training session at Camp McCoy, Wis.

Friends have honored Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pleimling, Keyes Arcade, at several farewell parties this week. Mr. and Mrs. Pleimling and daughter, Paula, will leave Saturday for Las Vegas, Nev., to make their home.

Journal news staff members staged a farewell party for Les Ormandy, wire editor, who has resigned to accept a position as city editor of The Daily Tribune at Manhatan, Kan.

Larry Domish, 6-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Domish, 804 Sixth Ave., entertained 17 of his young friends at a birthday party Friday.

Mrs. Albert Kranz of 507 Eighth St., who plans to leave soon to make her home at Blue Earth, was guest of honor at a farewell party given by members of the Typographical Union Auxiliary Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Michael Museta, Carson-Lupie.

Leo Bement, a long-time meat market employee of Sabourin’s store on Sixth Street, joined the Red Owl staff Monday morning.

Pvt. and Mrs. John Peterson (Jeanette Turban), 1311 Ninth Ave., are parents of a daughter born today at the Laurion Maternity Home.
