The Ranier City Council accepted the resignation of Municipal Liquor Store Manager Barry Woods. Woods stepped down to attend college.

Miss Army Armstrong, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Armstrong, Island View Route, will be installed as honored queen of Bethel 14 of the International Order of Job’s Daughters at an open installation on Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Masonic Temple.
Mrs. Jean Isensee, 307 Ninth St., returned home last Saturday by airliner following a month vacation in Orlando, Fla., where she was a guest of Mrs. Dolly Winrow, a former Falls resident.
Bronco basketball cheerleaders are Lauri Balcolm, Marcia Michalek, Marilyn Engelking, Lori Ice, Cindy Bernard and Connie Olson.

Dear Santa — My Mommy wouldn’t write this letter to you, so I will write it myself. I want a nice big cedar chest plumb full of pretty things. I will have coffee and fruitcake on the end table. On Dec. 7, Mr. and Mrs. Gust Holmstrom, 615 Fifth St., celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. A small get-together of two families in honor of the couple was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Goranson, 1600 Ninth Ave.

Mrs. Ralph Zepp, 611 Fifth St., was guest of honor at a farewell and bridge party held last night at the home of Mrs. F.H. Walter, 909 Second St.
Bethel 14, Jobs Daughters, last night initiated three members in a ceremony conducted at Masonic hall. They are Jacqueline Oveson, Joan Christensen and Rochelle Hazen.
Mrs. Peter Duvos recently entertained 12 children in honor of her daughter, Shirley, on her 10th birthday.

A shower was given Wednesday in the Ranier Community Gall for Mrs. Herbert Fougner. Hostesses were Mrs. Clifford Moe and Mrs. Ed Jameson, assisted by Mrs. Scott Couture.
When his basic training is finished, Pvt. Joseph J. Cullen will train to be a message decoder, he reports. He is taking his basic work at Camp Crowder, Mo.
Dr. Jacob Hvoslef is confined to his home in the Frederic Hotel apartments as the result of an injury to his knee.
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Erickson (Etta Mae Towle) of Holler are parents of a son born Dec. 11 at the Littlefork Hospital.
