Dan and Tammy Johnson and Jessie proudly announce the birth of their daughter and sister, Bethany Marjorie, who was born today.

R. Wallace (Wally) Watson, 29, son of Mr.  and Mrs. Rowland Watson of Ericsburg, has been named the new executive director of the Boys Club of Seattle, Wash., which is the second largest Boys Club in the United States. 

A boy was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. James Hebner.

Mrs. Doyle (Julie) Hartje of Grand Rapids has been named as one of America’s Outstanding Young Women of 1972. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Manley, 807 Second St.

A boy was born today at La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, to Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Helmer, 8 pounds, 12 1/2 ounces.

A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. James Lynch, 306 Eighth St., weight, 8 pounds, 11 ounces. Name chosen, Patrick Martin.

Mrs. Harold Morse, 904 Second St., was expected to be released from Falls Memorial Hospital today following a siege of pneumonia.

Falls area youths Ralph Bergstedt, Michael Lovejoy, Jack Lynch, Loren Reyes and Leroy Clabo have enlisted in the Navy.

Miss Anita Darval, 804 Ninth St., was honored at a pre-nuptial shower at Ukrainian Hall.

Directors of Border Youth Council this week officially designated Mrs. Ray B. Sullivan and Mrs. Earl Clauson as supervisors of the Juke Box canteen.

70 YEARS AGO

Mrs. E.L. Abley entertained a group of friends at her home, Sixth Street, Friday evening, the occasion being her birthday.

Franz Stone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stone, 1116 12th St., who will leave Friday for induction in the Army, was guest of honor at a party last evening. Hostesses were Mrs. Paul Traff and Mrs. Stone.

Robert W. Phillips, lineman for the Rainy River Improvement Company, will leave tonight for Minneapolis to report for duty with the Seabees.

Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Boppre of Holler are parents of a daughter born at their home in Holler today. Olive Jean are the names chosen for her.
