Marvin B. Richter and his wife, Dorothy, plan to do some traveling now that he has retired from Boise Cascade. Richter worked at the Falls paper mill for over 38 years.

Falls Video is the newest video outlet in the Falls area. The store, located on the corner of Seventh Street and Highway 53, is managed by Tammy Wyberg.

A boy, Nathan David, was born yesterday at La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, to Mr. and Mrs. David Mostad.

A boy was born yesterday at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bucklin.

The queen cried and the audience applauded as Kitty Venne was crowned Miss International Falls for 1974 in Backus Auditorium Friday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Russell Christensen, Island View Route, announce the birth of their first child, a girl, born yesterday at Falls Memorial Hospital. The baby has been named Theresa Louise and weighed 7 pounds, 3 1/2 ounces.

Mr. and Mrs. George A. Gowdy held an open house at their home here on Sunday evening commemorating their 63rd wedding anniversary.

Gerald Emery and Miss Patti Lu Pavek left Sunday morning for St. Paul where they are freshmen at Macalester College following a visit over the Thanksgiving holiday at their respective homes.

Second Lieut. William Cameron, Moody Air Force Base, Atlanta, Ga., visited Friday and Saturday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Cameron, 1322 11th Ave. Plans for a reunion on Thanksgiving Day had to be postponed a day because of a missed flight connection in Minneapolis.

60 YEARS AGO

Cyrus E. Dessin, 51, well-known neighborhood grocer, died unexpectedly at Memorial Hospital this forenoon, shortly after he was stricken ill at his home, 518 Seventh St. The deceased had operated the Dessin Grocery at 624 Fifth Ave. for almost 10 years.

Dear Santa Claus - I want a toboggan. My brother wants a telephone set. My daddy wants an electric shaver. My mother wants a watch. There are so many things that I do not know what I want but I really want a toboggan. Bye Santa, Renee Lindvall.

The Rev. and Mrs. Elmo Paff will be honored at a farewell event in Bethlehem Congregational Church at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Cline and daughter, formerly of Lake Kabetogama, left by motor this morning for Hanford, Wash., where they will make their home.

Miss Lucille Anderson was guest at a 7:30 dinner in the Dutch Room given by the Birthday Club in honor of her birthday anniversary.
