Miss May Ellefloot and Melvin Kittelson exchanged nuptial vows Saturday evening in Zion Lutheran Church parsonage.

Elmer F. Krantz, 76, a Falls municipal employee for almost 20 years, died Christmas Day at Manitou Springs, Colo., while enroute to spend the winter with a daughter in California. Two weeks ago he took leave from his job with the city street department because of ill health. The deceased was best known by his second given name, Frank.

Miss Charlotte Hess left today for Minneapolis to resume her nursing duties at St. Barnabas Hospital after spending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hess, 509 Fifth St.

70 YEARS AGO

Just a day early to receive the Women of the Moose layette to be given the first child born in 1943 whose father is in the armed forces, was the son born to Pvt. and Mrs. Wilfred McGregor, Harlow’s cabins. The child, Robert Gerold, was born this evening at the Northern Minnesota Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gaines (Elaine Scott) of this city announce the birth of a daughter today in the Northern Minnesota Hospital.

Miss Phyllis Ecklund was installed as honored queen of Bethel 14, Job’s Daughters, at a ceremony Wednesday afternoon in the Masonic Hall.

Pvt. and Mrs. Joseph Johnson of Littlefork are parents of a son born today at the Northern Minnesota Hospital. Joseph Oliver are the names chosen for the child.
