Dr. D.P. Bryan, Falls chiropractor, was recently awarded a plaque commemorating his "worthwhile accomplishments for the profession of chiropractic and its efforts to improve the health of mankind."
Starlight of the North Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, conducted the ceremony of initiation for Mr. and Mrs. Harry Readman during the meeting yesterday in the Masonic Hall.

Mrs. Reuben (Patricia) Christensen began working in the physical testing section of Insulite base products research where her duties will be the testing of Insulite.
Sgt. Frank D. Braford has recently completed a 30-day leave at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Braford, Loman Route, after being stationed near Mainz, Germany, for the past four years.
Last week Carleton Wold was changing a tire on his car when the bumper jack slipped off, hitting him in the eye. While no permanent damage was done, Connie missed several days of work.

Diane Engelbretson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Engelbretson, 512 Sixth St., was recently elected secretary-treasurer of the freshman class at Bemidji State Teachers College.
Glen H. Brandt, 506 1/2 Sixth St., was admitted to Falls Memorial Hospital Sunday for treatment of pneumonia.
Bill's Bar, a 3.2 beer establishment at 247 Second St., was robbed of approximately $12,000 in currency this morning. Julius Koch and Magnus Carlson are proprietors.

Julian Levos of Hibbing today began his duties as grocery manager of the International Falls branch of Minnesota Super Markets. He succeeds Al Johnson, who is moving to Hibbing.
Mr. and Mrs. James Hale and son, Bradley, left for San Francisco, Calif., where they will make their home.
Mrs. Leonard Bergsing was guest of honor at a shower at the home of Mrs. George Bancroft, Jameson Addition. Hostesses were Mrs. Bancroft and Mrs. Max Bunker.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Christensen of Ranier announce the birth of a daughter today at their home. Barbara Lee are the names chosen for the child.
