Former Bronco, University of Minnesota-Duluth, olympic and professional hockey standout Keith "Huffer" Christiansen will be honored tonight in Duluth when his jersey will be officially retired prior to the Bulldogs' matchup with Michigan Tech.
James McReynolds has retired from Boise Cascade Corporation mill at International Falls after 40 years' service.

A girl was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Whiteman.
Army F. Armstrong, Anchorage Road, has been named Falls High School's 1973 Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow.
Announcement was made this week by Jack Haase, resident manager of Boise Cascade paper mill, concerning promotion of Gregory K. Miller, project engineer, to technical assistant to the pulp mill.

PFC Robert Davison arrived last week from Fort Detrick, Md., to spend a 30-day leave with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Keenan, Brown's Corner.
A recent bride, Mrs. Douglas Bohman, was honored at a post-nuptial shower at the Ranier Community Hall recently.
Peter Grandaw and his wife, Paula, are in their new home in "Wistful Vista" out along the river.
A new secretary is replacing Janet Schulz in the Mando statistical group. She is Miss Marsha Christensen who used to work in the main office. Janet decided to be a housewife and raise a family and help run a bakery.

A son was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Murray, 1105 Ninth Ave., weight, 8 pounds, 9 ounces.
Falls High School junior "Straight A" Honor Roll - Bruce Anderson, Joanne Beck, Sally Hanson and Grace Laird.
William Smerika, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nick Smerika, 913 Ninth St., was guest of honor at a farewell party held Sunday evening at Ukrainian Hall. Smerika is to be inducted into military service and left the city this morning with a draft contengent this morning.
Sidney Nelson started working Monday in the Border Publishing Company composing room.

Robert H. Steele, who left this morning for Fort Snelling for the Army, was guest of honor at a dinner party given by his mother, Mrs. Frank Steele, assisted by her daughter, Mrs. John Ossachuk of Fort Frances.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Igo, 624 Fifth Ave., are parents of a son born today at the Laurion Maternity Home. Carlyle Michael are the names chosen for the child.
Twenty-five relatives and friends gathered at the Leon LaValley home, 418 Seventh St., Sunday evening to celebrate Mr. LaValley's recent birthday.
Mrs. Rellis Pullar was guest of honor at a farewell party Sunday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Dan O'Handley, 707 10th St. Mrs. Pullar will leave this week for Washington with Mr. Pullar and their two children. They will reside in the west.
