Joe Amel, a patient in Northern Minnesota Hospital, is reported improving rapidly. Mr. Amel collapsed on the street Tuesday.
Miss Alice Bratlie of Ranier, who was in Northern Minnesota Hospital as a result of stepping on a rusty nail, was able to return to her home Sunday evening.
Thomas Savard Jr. has been appointed relief patrolman on the International Falls police force and will begin his new duties Friday.
The condition of C.W. Coffin, power lineman injured in a fall Tuesday, was reported as serious at the local hospital today. His son, Pvt. James Coffin, is enroute home from Fort Scott, Ill., and is expected here today.
