DeMaris Glover, who has finished her first year at Mid-America Nazarene College, Olathe, Kan., recently spent a few days here with family and friends.

A boy was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hull, Kim LeRoy, 7 pounds, 11 ounces.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pierce, 217 1/2 Fourth Ave. E., Milbank, S.D., are parents of a daughter, Brenda Eugenie, who was born at 2 p.m. today. The infant weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces.
A girl was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Hjalmer Rinne, 8 pounds, 14 1/4 ounces.
Pvt. E11 Barrett James Wagness graduated July 13 from military police school at Fort Gordon, Ga.

A daughter was born at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. John Sawchuk, Keyes Arcade, weight, 8 pounds, 6 ounces.
Pierre Dumais, 3-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Dumais Sr., 13th Street, Sunnyside Addition, was admitted to Falls Memorial Hospital Monday for an appendectomy.
Fred “Fritz” Wolff, 1118 Seventh Ave., is confined to Memorial Hospital today as a result of a back injury sustained during a fishing trip Sunday.
Two Border Publishing Company employees were honored by co-workers at a party Wednesday evening at Carroll’s Beach pavilion. Thomas Cullen, who will leave for induction into military service Tuesday, and Sidney Nelson, who will leave next week for Pensacola, Fla.

Friends of Clem Kusnierek threw a party Saturday at Carroll’s pavilion for this departing soldier. It is quite needless to say that a good time was had by all, and the party lasted until 12 p.m.
Leo Minton, Daily Journal pressman for the past three years, has resigned to accept a similar position in Detroit, Mich. Mr. and Mrs. Minton left for their new home last night.
Jerry Sumner celebrated his third birthday Wednesday afternoon by entertaining 18 little friends at his home, 909 Ninth St.
Mrs. George Porter, worthy matron of Star of the North chapter, O.E.S., No. 201, was guest of honor at a birthday party yesterday given by the officers of the chapter at the home of Mrs. Einar Rydberg on Rainy Lake.
