Mrs. Ted (Mina) Krohn, 65, died of cancer this evening in Falls Memorial Hospital. From 1960 to 1967 she held the position of society editor at The Daily Journal.
Being a grandmother of four didn’t deter a Falls woman from earning a college degree. Mrs. Bill (Edith) Byman, RN, a staff member of the Falls Nursing Home, graduated with distinction from the Hibbing State Junior College Nursing Department.
Mr. and Mrs. James Kalar and sons, Billy and Kim, of Douglas, Ariz., left for their home this morning following a week and a half visit here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Sabourin.

Miss Alice Rae Camp, who will become the bride of Glenn Desens on Aug. 4, was guest of honor at a bridal shower at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Kenneth Swenson recently entertained 20 guests in honor of Marjorie Swenson’s eighth birthday.
The Crystal Beach Birthday Club met Friday noon for a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Henry Swenson. They honored two of their members, Mrs. Gunnar Lindstrom and Mrs. Spencer Clapp.
Mr. and Mrs. Morton W. Davis, 125 12th St., were honored July 22 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church commemorating their silver wedding anniversary.

Guests included Mrs. Agnes Sandbeck, Mrs. Joe Doris and son, Mrs. Sandbeck and son, Mrs. Raymond Bragg and son, Mrs. Mark McBride and son, Mrs. J.E. Wilcox, Mrs. Richard Titus and daughter and Mrs. Julian Blais.
Miss Annette Dahlen, 612 Seventh Ave., was guest of honor at a bridal shower in Zion Lutheran Church parlors.
Mrs. Jack Erlich, the former Myrle Solomon, who was married July 6 in Virginia, was guest of honor at a post-nuptial shower at the home of Mrs. Peter Biondich, 915 Fifth St.

Mr. and Mrs. George Padares (Helen Boresek), 1003 Ninth St., announce the birth of a son July 28 at the Laurion Maternity Home. George Peter are the names chosen for the child.

Pvt. Arthur Lindstrom is now driving anti-tank, half track trucks at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif., where he is attached to Company F, 159th infantry.
Elroy Klein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Klein, who left for his army induction center at San Pedro, Calif., Sunday, after spending five days here visiting relatives and friends, was guest of honor at a party Saturday evening. The affair was given by Mrs. Jasper Klein and Mrs. Aarne Vasenius at the Vasenius home, 915 10th St.
