Eugene W. Earley, machinist’s mate second class, USN, arrived in San Diego, Calif., aboard the landing ship USS Catamount last week after being away from home waters since Nov. 7, 1951. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Earley, Poor Farm Road.

Ernest Loveland recently resigned his job in the Mando bag mill and has left for employment in Idaho.
Mrs. Joe Higby entertained for her son, Duane, at a birthday party on his fifth anniversary. John Nordberg, who, as a member of the Minnesota Highway Patrol, has been active in border law enforcement circles for over six years, has resigned his post in order to campaign for the office of Koochiching County sheriff.
Mrs. Arthur Erickson, ritual chairman of the Women of the Moose, met with her committee members at the Moose Hall last evening. A handkerchief shower honoring Mrs. George Hanks was given. She and her family plan to leave Monday for San Diego, Calif., where Mr. Hanks has work in the Consolidated Aircraft plant.
