Orville and Agnes Schultz have returned home following a visit with Barney and Evelyn Sanderson at Apache Junction, Ariz.
The International Falls Midget hockey team captured their fourth state title by defeating Minneapolis Washburn 5-2 in the semi-finals and then pasted St. Paul 8-4 in the finals for the trophy. Team manager is Dick DeBenedet.

A girl was born today at La Verendrye Hospital, Fort Frances, to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Carlson, Island View Route, 7 pounds, 6 ounces.
Mrs. Edmund Anderson was honored at a stork shower at the home of Mrs. Jerry Lonergan.
Mrs. Ann Ruby, 1303 11th Ave., was guest of honor at a surprise birthday party at her home. Hostesses for the event were Nancy Ruby, daughter of the honored guest, Florence Coleman, Mrs. Evelyn Roche and Mrs. Bernice Stavish.
Marilyn and Patricia O'Leary, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent O'Leary, celebrated their birthday on Sunday at the home of their parents. A St. Patrick theme was used.

A daughter was born today at Falls Memorial Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Everett, 523 Seventh St., weight, 6 pounds, 9 ounces.
Dorlyn Desens, 20, son of Mrs. Eunice Desens, 318 Sixth St., left the city last week for Minneapolis to report for duty with the Air Force.
Elaine Carlson was elected president of the teenage missionary society of First Lutheran Church. Other officers named included Rita Misner, vice president; Karin Mether, secretary; Jaynice Hafdahl, assistant secretary and scribe; and Janet Sawchuk, treasurer.

Tom Pollard, Jr. was a fall victim of the icy walking. He suffered a dislocated shoulder.
Pvt. Arnold Bakkenta is now stationed at Camp Hood, Texas. He's the only one from the Falls in his outfit, he reports.
