Kristine Marie Radford of International Falls, and student at Falls Senior High School, is among 53 seniors in the United States and Canada to receive a $1,000 R. Robert Dale Scholarship through the Loyal Order of Moose.

Three teachers of District 361 who will retire at the close of the school term were honored at a dinner meeting held at the Holiday Inn. Receiving corsages were Mrs. Irene Krall, Miss Mary Ann Norton and Mrs. Helen Barber.
Newly-elected officers of Koochiching Rebekah Lodge are: Ruby Miller, noble grand; Nancy Shaffer, vice grand; Gladyce Arnold, recording secretary; Marian Johnson, financial secretary; Maybelle Stone, treasurer; and Alma Engelking, three-year trustee.
Incumbents Eugene Blair and Ray Christensen were re-elected to the District 361 school board Tuesday.

Larry R. Bowman has been hired to teach high school English. A native of Northome, he is a graduate of Bemidji State College and is currently teaching at Littlefork.
Thursday, May 31, the first class will graduate at the new Falls High School. There will be 168 students who will receive diplomas.
Mr. and Mrs. G.L. Browman, 924 Sixth St., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth, to Donald James Hallgren, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur L. Hallgren, Alexandria.

Mr. and Mrs. Moritz Steinbach of Loman are parents of a son born today at the Northern Minnesota Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Roland Nyberg of Carson-Lupie Addition announce the birth of a 10-pound son today at the Hanover Hospital.
Appointment of Milton S. Wunderlich as general sales manager of the Insulite division and John O. Burton as chief of research for Minnesota and Ontario Paper Company were announced today by R.H.M. Robinson, president.
