Theodore Pozniak, senior operator in the bleach plant at Boise Cascade, has retired after 44 years of service.
Les Glover, son of Lee and Lola Glover, South International Falls, has been chosen to represent the Falls Broncos in track and field in the summer Junior Olympics in Sweden and Norway.

There will be a retirement reception for Mr. Frank Hoppe at the Papermakers Hall Saturday evening at 7 p.m. All friends and bus students are invited.
Today is the last day of work for four long service Insulite employees who are retiring from Boise Cascade. The men are Ben Ringwelski, millwright; Sinai Gosselin, difibrator operator; Julius McDougall, coating line checker; and Lester Carr, tractor operator.
Clarence and Beverly Marine will be honored at an open house Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. at their home in Jameson Addition on the occasion of their 25th wedding anniversary.

Glen Blumer received a four-year scholarship valued at $7,200 to Colorado College, Colorado Springs, Colo.
Donald Trott, sophomore from International Falls, is chairman of the publicity committee for St. Cloud State College’s annual Campus Carnival Saturday.
Sonja Romslo, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Berger Romslo, Highway 53, will be graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, on May 28 at commencement in Memorial Auditorium.

A son was born today to Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Bartholomew, South International Falls, weight, 7 pounds, 9 ounces. Name chosen, William Lloyd.
Miss Marian Lein and Mrs. Ensio Kirsila, both employed in the Border Publishing Company office, were honored by co-workers at a dinner party at Sha-Sha Resort. Miss Lein will leave next week for Minneapolis where she will be employed in the Mando office and Mrs. Kirsila is resigning to become a full-time housewife.
Karen Jo Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Peterson, South International Falls, was honored at a party in her home Saturday in celebration of her eighth birthday anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. B.J. Shields, 803 Second St., were honored guests during the Saturday evening dancing party at Falls Country Club. The Shields plan to leave for Minneapolis to make their home as soon as school is out.

Eighteen-year-old Ava A. Preece ranks as valedictorian in her class of 102 students. Patricia Sullivan is class salutatorian.
Miss Ida Carbone, child welfare worker for the county welfare board, who will leave Friday for St. Paul to accept a new position, and Miss Verna O’Brien, stenographer in the welfare office who will leave soon for the West Coast, were honored guests at a dinner party at Island View Lodge.
Wenberg’s Transfer today moved the household goods of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Greer to Duluth where the family now live.
Mrs. M. Galipeau entertained for her daughter, Joan, who celebrated her seventh birthday.
