Four Koochiching County men known to have been on Corregidor are presumed to be among 11,574 soldiers, marines and civilians taken prisoners by the Japanese yesterday. The solders are: Harold and George Mohn, sons of Mrs. John Mohn of Littlefork; Fred Monrean, son of Mrs. Grover Monrean of Holler; and Douglas Robertson, son of Stuart Robertson of Indus.
Five pounds of sugar per person for home canning purposes will be made available “for the present” by the Office of Price Administration, it was announced today.
