Miss Lois Johnson, formerly of South International Falls, has found employment as a telephone operator in San Francisco and enjoys her new surroundings.

70 YEARS AGO

Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Grover, 415 Ninth St., are parents of a son born yesterday at the Laurion Maternity Home.

Death early yesterday ended the long and useful career of Mrs. Margaret Gordon Corell, dean of Koochiching County clubwomen and a leader in state educational circles for more than 40 years. Mrs. Corell, 77 years old, passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond McDevitt, 916 Third St.

Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd W. Pierson, who reside on Rainy lake near Point O’Pines, announce the birth of a son today at the Littlefork Hospital. Richard Linnell are the names chosen for the child.

Pvt. and Mrs. Clarence Moone (Loni Begg) of Holler have chosen Johanna Mae as the names for their daughter born at their home yesterday.
